I have this habit of writing any good quotes or thoughts I come across on any available piece of paper at the moment.  So there are times when I randomly see bits of paper with interesting quotes in them tucked away in a corner of my room, or bag, or desk, or wherever.  I’ll give you an example of a quote I found recently: "And no practical definition of freedom would be complete without the freedom to take the consequences.  Indeed, it is the freedom upon which all the others are based."  This is from Terry Pratchett’s GOING POSTAL by the way, one of my favorite books.  It pretty interesting to read stuff like this out of the blue.  Kind of like a surprise fortune cookie.  Just recently I found another piece of paper that said this: "Only through ultimate coolness can the universe be comprehended."  I found this written in my own handwriting but I cannot for the life of me remember where I’ve read or heard this.  So now thinking I could have written it, but I could be wrong.  So I did a search and said a prayer of thanks for Google.  It’s actually a quote from Terry Pratchett’s (Did I mention that I’m a huge Terry Pratchett fan?) THIEF OF TIME (which is also a good book by the way).
