You’re the New Cancer

Sunday, June 25th, 2006

Don’t you just hate it when you realize that in all those years of feigning indifference, you have somehow allowed that person to fester deep inside you, making you finally recognize the fact that you have NO closure at all? I know he doesn’t deserve that much thought, but the part of me that puts friendship in the highest regard just won’t allow me to let it go, and it sucks. But I’ve decided that from now on, when it comes to him, there’s no looking back.

So to you who has given me something that I now refuse to dwell upon, have a good life, wherever you are. I sincerely mean that.

Full Metal Escapism

I’m in a "Full Metal Panic" phase and I just can’t get out of it (Christelle kasi eh). I’ve seen all the current episodes, I’ve got the music, and now I’m in love with Sagara Sousuke. *sigh* I haven’t felt this way since obsessing over Samurai Champloo and Mugen.

Fatal Frame III: The Tormented

Friday, June 2nd, 2006

Guess what? I’m bored, so I decided why not talk about something interesting and freaky like Fatal Frame?  My train of thought is a little twisted, I know. Seriously this game just freaks me out, yet in a weird way, I just cannot stop playing it  (not alone of course–yes I admit, I am a wuss when it comes to these things).  The Fatal Frame 3 experience is pretty much synonymous to a good Japanese horror movie experience, except that you get to be in it, which is much freakier than just being part of the passive audience.  There were moments that I held on to the controller with one hand, whilst covering my eyes with another (how impractical and wuss-like of me hehe).  The scare and the story is what makes this game interesting.  The gameplay can be frustrating sometimes because of the controls.  It can be annoying and creepy at the same time (annoying because you just can’t kill the stupid ghost due to the messed up controls and creepy because you just can’t kill the stupid ghost due to the messed up controls).  My other problem with playing this game at night is that I can’t sleep right after going through Fatal Frame 3, because I get awful nightmares, so I have to finish it with a "chaser" like Kingdom Hearts or Katamari Damasi.  Anyhow, Fatal Frame 3 is still worth all the little hassles if you enjoy a pretty good scare.
